Royal Wave by Tots Bots

For the birth of the new Royal Baby, Tots Bots created a new Royal nappy print the Royal Wave. Which was released on the 2nd May 2015 the day when Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born.

This isn't the first royal birth nappy the Royal Flush Nappy which was brought out in 2013 when Prince George was born.

Image obtained from Tots Bots (they only made 300 and I'm not lucky enough to have one).

On Prince George's first birthday they also released the Birthday nappy.

Reusable Nappy Week Meme Competition Prize

As regular readers of my blog will know, I won the Meme competition just before the start of Reusable  Nappy Week and yesterday I received my prize. It was shipped by The Nappy Lady so I'm guessing that retail supplied the prize. thank you so much.

The prize consisted of 5 birth to potty nappies in a range of styles, out of the five nappies two were from brands I haven't tried before.
1) Tots Bots Easyfit V4 - Treasure (£16.99)
2) Close Pop-ins v2 - Robots (£15.99)
3) Daisybirds Kids (DKB) - Violets (£9.99)
4) Wonderoos v3 Pocket - Festival (£14.99)
5) Little Lambs Pocket limited edition print- Fresh green Stripe (£12.50)

I have previously reviewed two of these nappies already on my blog but do intend to review the rest once I've put them them through their paces.

Bamboo Nappy

Little Lamb fitteds are available in 3 sizes: size 1 7lbs-20lbs (3kgs-9kgs); size 2 20lbs- 38lbs (9kgs- 17kg), size 3 35lbs+ (16kgs+). With the exception of size 1, all nappies come with a fast dry fold-out bamboo booster (size 1 have it separate as newborns won't need the booster at first). The size are roughly size 1- newborn to 9 months, size 2- 9 months to potty training, size 3- night time for older tots.

Firstly, this nappy is really easy to put on even my husband can get them on my daughter! Simply fold the sewn in boaster to however desired, then place fleece liner on top, next fasten the Velcro around baby and finally fasten a wrap over the top. I'm impressed they are actually so trim fitting as normally with fitteds I tend to think they are bulky!

Secondly, they are really reliably and absorbent nappy, last from 6pm-7am easily. In fact, when wore
with a little lamb wrap they are a breast fed, bombproof combination! These nappies are very thirsty
and hold even the heaviest wetters urine. With using a liner it allows for easier cleaning. I'm very impressed with the absorbency of a mid price range nappy(£9 each).

Thirdly, laundry is very simple and wash and line dry, being Bamboo in the winter they take a long time to dry. However, do ensure you follow the washing instructions and don't exceed the 40c temperature as some of my older ones have actually shrunk slightly and in some places the bamboo is a little bald.

The only real criticism is until recently the wraps were only available in colours but in 2015 they have brought out limited edition print wraps. For such a brilliant nappy, I'm not actually sure why I haven't used it during the day time. I think I'll have to give it a go and report back. (I'll update later with a picture of it on dd).
